The Listening Tour
This piece was part of the album “Now, Voyager”, from 2017. It was developed for a podcast called, “The Listening Tour”, published and broadcast by Phoebe Zimmermann. It begins with a calming, easy feel, eventually becomes more rhythmic, until near the ending, a pentatonic scale based on a major 7th chord creates a joyful sound. Read more

In Neptune’s Shadow
Composed in 2017, as part of the Now, Voyager album. In Neptune’s Shadow came easily. It moves through dorian and aeolian (major) modes, creating a mood alternating between difficult times and feeling carefree. Read more

Jupiter’s Moons
This rhythmic multi-instrumental piece is a favorite. From 2017, Jupiter’s Moons was begun on guitar as a simple rhythmic theme. It developed well with strings, harp and percussion. It is in turns, dreamy or rhythmic and sometimes both dreamy and rhythmic. Read more

Now, Voyager
For string quartet. This is the last piece on the album, Now, Voyager. It alternates between a slow, labored theme and quick spritely sections. This is for string quartet, from 2017. It has a driving pulse throughout, and moves throughout between major and minor modes. Read more
